President
Jennifer Malecha
Jennifer Malecha is the Library Media Specialist at Fernbrook Elementary in Maple Grove and is an Adjunct Instructor at St. Catherine's University in St. Paul. She has previously worked as a Middle School Reading Specialist and Secondary Curriculum Coordinator. She earned her Master’s degree and reading specialist license from the University of Minnesota. Books of all kinds are her passion and you will never find her anywhere without one!

Laura Ramsborg
Laura Ramsborg is an Assistant Principal with St. Paul Public Schools. Prior to her specialist role, Laura worked as a Literacy Coach and taught 7th grade reading for several years. Laura holds a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Hamline University; a K-12 reading license; and a 5-12 Communication Arts & Literature license. Laura has a passion for education, social justice, literacy, and developing life-long readers.

Neva Stoebner
Neva Stoebner retired after teaching for 36 years in the Delano School District. She has taught 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade and special education. She earned her Masters Degree from St. Mary's University. Neva has a passion for literacy, life-long learning and books.

Maurna Rome
Maurna Rome is a National Board Certified Teacher with 30+ years experience as an educator. She has served students, families and colleagues in a wide range of positions in several MN districts. She currently collaborates with school districts offering education consulting in the areas of literacy, equity, engagement and improved outcomes for students. Maurna previously served as President of the MN Reading Association and as a member of the Teacher Advisory Panel for the International Literacy Association. As a fierce advocate for literacy, children and racial equity, Maurna believes stories have the power to transform lives.

Beth Flottmeier
Beth Flottmeier is the Director of Curriculum and Instruction for Bloomington Public Schools. She had previously been a classroom teacher, media specialist, curriculum coordinator, and literacy coach. Beth holds an Ed.S., media and reading specialist licenses. She loves engaging students in reading, writing, and language. Beth enjoys working with teachers to increase literacy pedagogy.
